Video Installation theory

Video Installation Theory

First thing i did was i looked up some Artist that use Video Installation on youtube and i looked at their worked. I looked at a guy called Doug Aitken and his work is something amazing and interesting. I think the message he was trying to give out in his video is the fact they are loads of ways you can use art and make it creative instead of just simple things and he would work on some projects of his for years to plan and make them perfect and unique to anything else and the give himself new creative options when making his project.

There was his project called Station to station where him and his crew went on a train and went through all the different places in the United states to find all these different type of artist ect. To be honest I really liked it and it showed me that creativity is everywhere and everyone has it. I think Doug is creative and his work is unique and they look really interesting to watch.

I think the equipment he needed was a camera for sure and also he would of needed was a very top of the range camera maybe like a C100 because that is an amazing camera for the type of stuff he is doing in that particular project. Also for the start he would of needed a few screens with loops of the video that he made just as a background. I think he would of need Adobe Premier or some other professional software to edit this project and maybe Adobe After Effects for some minor tweeks and probably will some sort of sound editing software like Adobe Audition or something similar to that.
